Allen & Overy, Herbert Smith Freehills Shut Hong Kong Offices Following New COVID Outbreak

Both firms have closed offices for deep cleaning and told staff to work remotely after positive cases.

Allen & Overy and Herbert Smith Freehills have shut their Hong Kong offices as staff members tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

Hong Kong started to see a new outbreak of COVID-19 on Thursday after the virus spread via a sports gym in a neighborhood near Central. On Friday, the government reported 60 confirmed cases, the highest single day record in the past month.
