Newly created role! An advisory firm is looking for an information Resources Manager to manage the procurement of their market data and business information sources. The role will involve developing strong stakeholder relationships with both vendors and senior stakeholders in the firm and taking responsibility for directly managing those relationships.
The role will include the following:
- Supporting the implementation and adoption of the new research database management service, working closely with the partner team to create a best in class market data procurement strategy.
- Managing the day-to-day relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to make suggestions for data sources.
- Awareness of latest research databases and new products to market.
- Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Responsible for the full range of databases for appropriate stakeholders and work in partnership with the team to ensure delivery.
To be considered, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Procuring research databases and building strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Vendor relationship management and contract negotiation.
- Preparing and monitoring budgets and other financial analysis
- Solid understanding of how a professional services firm operates and its strategic objectives.
- Good working knowledge of core research databases such as Factiva, FAME, Zephyr, Thomson Reuters, Lexis Nexis.
- Proven experience of building and managing relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
