Business Management Associates (BMA) is seeking a self-starting highly skilled Administrative Research Law Librarian to join our team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Determine current objectives and assists senior management in the formulation of long-range objectives, establishes administrative policies and procedures including those pertinent to the on-line law library index, and implement new reference program activities;
- Plan, direct, and coordinate a program to dispose of surplus or superseded law library materials;
- Train/assists the legal staff in the use of law library materials, facilities and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the traditional legal research methods.
- Knowledge of cataloging principles, practices, and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Enthusiastic commitment to customer service.
- Must have strong communication skills and business acumen.
- Must have strong analytical and process work flow.
- Must have strong time management skills.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience with filing legal documents and/or working in the operation of the library.
- Minimum of high school diploma.
- Experienced with Lexis, Westlaw and other common legal information platforms.
