AALL: American Association of Law Libraries Announces The 3 2021 Gallagher Award Winners

The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) has announced the 2021 recipients of the Marian Gould Gallagher Distinguished Service Award, the association’s highest honor.

The 2021 AALL Gallagher Award recipients are:

• Catherine Lemann, Retired Research Librarian, Law Library of Louisiana.

• Daniel L. Wade, Curator, Foreign & International Law Collection; Associate Librarian for Foreign & International Law & Lecturer in Legal Research, Yale Law School, Lillian Goldman Law Library. (Awarded Posthumously)

Mary Whisner, Public Services Librarian, University of Washington, Marian Gould Gallagher Law Library.

 

“This year’s Marian Gould Gallagher Distinguished Service Award recipients are leaders and innovators within the legal information profession,” noted AALL President Emily R. Florio.

“These three accomplished professionals have spent their careers mentoring generations of librarians. Catherine, Daniel, and Mary have made countless contributions that exemplify their professionalism and expertise and reflect their commitment to the legal information profession. AALL is pleased to be able to acknowledge their outstanding contributions to the field of law librarianship with this award.
