A major law firm has a new role for an Intranet and Knowledge Systems Manager.

This person will have particular responsibility for the development of the Knowledge Systems Team, for the day to day management of the firm’s International Intranet and other UK knowledge systems.

Other responsibilities include:

  • line management of the Intranet and an Intranet Officer who is based in a different office
  • scoping and implementing the creation and updating of intranet pages including working closely with lawyers and BD/Marketing teams
  • governance of the firm’s know how system
  • trouble shooting and obtaining technical support as required from IT or external partners
  • working with IT to scope, pilot and implement new projects where appropriate
  • supporting and contributing to the development of international integration and engagement and new office integration
  • providing training and support to intranet ‘super users’
  • advising on building and implementing taxonomies
  • providing reporting and analysis of the intranet and knowledge systems

In order to be considered for this role candidates must have:

  • expertise in SharePoint 2013/2016
  • extensive experience working on, and managing, a global intranet
  • previous experience of working within a legal/professional services firm
  • forward thinking and innovative solutions to meet the needs of the firm, with attention to creating efficiencies and excellence
  • strong interpersonal skills
