A leading international law firm has a new vacancy for a Knowledge and Information Centre Manager on a fixed term contract basis.

You will perform a key role in managing the Researchers and Information Officers and working with other colleagues to deliver firm-wide knowledge and information resources, advice, training and tailored research and analysis to support the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • line management of several individuals
  • running the day to day operations of the team to provide seamless access to knowledge and information
  • carrying out pro-active and reactive research providing client and market intelligence
  • producing detailed reports and profiles to support fee-earners and business development
  • working on quick turnaround legal and business enquiries
  • carrying out analysis and assessment of research topics
  • recruiting and carrying out performance reviews of the Business Intelligence team
  • monitoring workflow
  • providing regular activity reporting to the Head of KBIC
  • budgeting and procurement management
  • developing and delivering training programmes
  • vendor liaison and assessment of online and hard copy sources
  • other projects as required

 

In order to be considered for this role you will have:

 

  • proven leadership skills and experience with the ability to motivate a team
  • experience of managing a team with commitment to the development of oneself and others
  • a proactive approach to customer services
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across the firm
  • previously worked within professional services
  • strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • ability to manage own workload, that of others and work to tight deadlines
