Focusing on UK legal research and current awareness services key responsibilities include:
· carrying out business and legal research for lawyers and business services professionals around the firm using a range of online and hard copy resources
· providing current awareness services including competitor intelligence updates
· delivering research skills training
· assisting with maintenance and development of the firm’s intranet
· acquisitions and cataloguing
· evaluating and promoting new sources
· supervising and mentoring team members
· sharing knowledge and learning in team meetings
In order to be considered for this role you must have:
· a library/information qualification
· experience of carrying out in-depth legal and business research
· commercial interest and awareness
· excellent communication and customer service skills
· previous experience within a law firm setting
· experience of staff supervision is desirable
