The judge who ruled that Johnny Depp had physically and sexually assaulted his former wife is facing an online campaign from the actor’s fans to have him “fired”.
Mr Justice Nicol found that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor had assaulted Amber Heard 12 times and left her in fear for her life as he dismissed Depp’s libel claim against The Sun for calling him a wife-beater.
A vicious social media campaign against Heard, which has led to her suing Depp in the United States for $100 million, has expanded with a petition against Mr Justice Nicol after his 129-page judgment in the High Court on Monday.
