LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT ADVISER Herbert Smith Freehills Melbourne VIC

The Knowledge and Learning team in our Mlebourne office have a current opening for a Learning & Development Adviser to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this role you will:

  • Project management of training programmes to support relevant program manager, including liaising with various internal and external stakeholder
  • Assist L&D managers in conducting training needs analysis
  • Support the creation of eLearning and other digital learning solutions
  • Provide co-facilitation at development programmes and events, progressing on to solo facilitation
  • Provide coaching to lawyers and Business Services staff as required
  • Monitor L&D budget expenditure and advise relevant program managers
  • Oversee costs and delivery agreements with key external suppliers
  • Oversee the L&D schedule to ensure managers are kept informed of significant course/program milestones

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in event management and design and delivery of L&D programs in a corporate environment
  • Experience of exploring and advising on development needs with individuals
  • Training delivery experience is desirable
  • Coaching experience is desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications are desirable
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Previous experience with databases (including Learning Management Systems) desirable
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Ability to work in an international, dispersed team
  • Proven ability to work autonomously
  • Proven organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage processes with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Displays good judgment and problem solving abilities
  • Enthusiastic and shows initiative
  • Strong interest in L&D activities and learning generally
