Our client is a global US law firm with well established offices in Asia, and a wide network of offices globally. It has a strong Capital Markets practice in both its New York and London offices and a strong M&A practice across its Asian offices. It is now seeking a high profile Capital Markets partner to establish and build a capital markets practice in Hong Kong. Despite the volatility which some capital markets practices have experienced in recent years, our client is committed to developing a HK Capital Markets practice as it has a strategic need to develop this practice area.
The successful candidate will be a well regarded Capital Markets partner working for an international law firm in Hong Kong. You will have a strong client base and leadership experience. You will be fluent in Chinese and you will have experience working for major investment banks.
You will enjoy working within a very well managed, profitable and collegiate firm. You will benefit from the referral work which will be available from our client’s M&A partners and from the firm’s overseas offices.
This is a rare opportunity to join a prestigious US law firm, and to play a key role in building its capital markets practice in Asia, as an equity partner.
