General Counsel - Australia & Europe. Global Wine Company
Our client is a global leader in the Wine Industry, with interests and significant business in Australia, Europe and beyond. This senior leadership role reports directly to the CEO and sits on the executive committee of the company. It represents a very rare offering in Adelaide and indeed within Australia and will appeal to both local and interstate applicants.

Working as part of a team of switched on executives with a passion for the wine industry, and leading a small cross-border legal team, this true General Counsel role is a highlight in the Australian in-house community. Using both your legal and perhaps more significantly, commercial acumen, you will enjoy providing strategic and hands-on advice directly to the business.

Travelling globally from time to time to assist with deals and to manage lawyers offshore, you will enjoy the chance to contribute not just to the legal team, but to the broader business. Your interest in wine and people, and your passion and positivity will underpin your success.

An appropriate package commensurate with the position is on offer, including benefits.

Given the nature of the role and the interest which it will receive, applicants are requested to consider the following basic criteria before applying. It will suit lawyers who have:

15+ years of experience, and
held roles with an element of leadership in-house role; and
trained in a top-tier or similar firm, in an area such as corporate.
Those who have worked in Europe, or the US or in an FMCG or similar industry are encouraged to apply. Unfortunately, candidates who do not meet these criteria are unlikely to be considered or corresponded with.

To be considered preferably email a CV to Paul Burgess, Director, Burgess Paluch Legal Recruitment paul@bplr.com.au
