Crawford & Company a? provider of claims management solutions, has named Christopher Pinney head of legal for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific regions.
In his role, Pinney will support Crawford’s executive management in those regions and liaise with the Company’s Atlanta-based legal department on corporate-wide issues, said Allen W. Nelson, general counsel and chief administrative officer. “As our international operations continue to grow, having someone on our legal team with Chris’s background and experience in the United Kingdom and elsewhere will be invaluable,” said Nelson. Pinney reports to Nelson and is based in London.
Pinney trained at Gouldens English Solicitors and joins Crawford from Jones Day where, as a corporate solicitor, he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and private equity transactions, as well as general commercial law. He is the author of a Jones Day Commentary published in 2005 and was involved in various internal mentoring activities while with the firm.
Pinney received a B.A. in history from Warwick University and a postgraduate diploma in law from the University of the West of England, where he also completed his legal practice course. He was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2003.
