The Lawyer UK reports that French firm Gide Loyrette Nouel has hired a Sidley Austin finance partner to launch a banking and finance team in its Hong Kong office.
Gide’s London office head Colin Mercer, who is a banking and finance partner, will relocate to Hong Kong to launch the practice and will be joined by Sidley partner Balbir Bindra.
The Lawyer also reports that Mercer will continue to run the firm’s London office and project finance practice and so will split his time between Hong Kong and London.
