Hi there,
We’ve made several updates to Descrybe that reflect the way we build: taking complex legal source material and making it easier to search, understand, and verify.
Here’s what’s new.
- Court-level search lets you narrow Legal Concept Search by typing the court, jurisdiction, court type, or common abbreviation you already know, instead of navigating source lists, selecting courts from sidebars, or learning platform-specific court IDs. This is available now in the Descrybe Platform and will be added to the Descrybe Legal Engine for Claude soon.
- Search autocomplete suggests matching courts, jurisdictions, and court types as you type. Available in the Descrybe Platform only.
- Coverage page shows current coverage details across federal and state courts, bankruptcy courts, specialized and agency tribunals, tribal courts, statutes, regulations, and constitutions, including opinion counts, available date ranges, and source availability where applicable. View coverage page
- Refreshed court data on the coverage page lets you see the most recent update date for covered courts, based on the latest available source data. Data for covered courts will be refreshed multiple times per week.
- Expanded specialized and agency tribunal coverage adds Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) decisions, along with Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) decisions for immigration, trademark, and patent-related research, with more coming soon. This is available now in the Descrybe Platform and will be added to the Descrybe Legal Engine for Claude soon.
