A shocking incident unfolded in the jurisdiction of Satellite Town Police Station, Mirpurkhas on Thursday, where prominent lawyer Chaudhry Shehzad Arain was brutally shot dead, while his companion sustained minor injuries. Authorities reached the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas shortly after the incident to oversee the situation.
On this occasion, SSP Mirpurkhas Dr. Sumair Noor Channa told the media that the killing stemmed from a long-standing land dispute between the Arain and Lashari communities, which has persisted for several years. Police conducted extensive searches at the crime scene and nearby areas, detaining five suspected individuals in connection with the attack.
Following the post-mortem examination, the victim’s body was handed over to his heirs. No formal case has yet been registered as investigations continue.
