He was awarded with the uni’s prestigious Cloch Quaich prize for the highest-graded dissertation in his year.
But the university has been urged to strip the former student of the honour after videos emerged of Carty branding migrants “low-IQ inbred f***s” who are “coming here for a GP, for a dentist, for a Gucci bag and to rape your child.”
Joined by his younger brother Chris, a business and politics student and president of the Aberdeen University eSports Society, the pair were caught on camera ranting through a megaphone outside a hotel housing asylum seekers.
In shocking footage filmed last month, Carty shouts: “I want to say a big thank you to all the police officers here. But do you want to know why we need to have so many?”
