Jeez ..He’s Getting Ahead of Himself – “Ibiza Final Boss” threatens legal action against Scottish nightclub for using likeness

The Aberdeen event is now promoting a competition for “best dressed Ibiza Final Boss”

The ‘Ibiza Final Boss’ has threatened legal action against a club night in Aberdeen over a “misleading” promotional advert, according to The Press and Journal.

The viral raver – who shot to fame last month after videos emerged of him partying in Ibiza flaunting a bowl-cut hairdo and gold chain – reportedly accused promoters of a club night at Aberdeen venue Babylon for using his likeness and name in an advert.

listing for the student club night – described as a “one-off banger, Ibiza Final Boss rave” – reveals that the event will take place at the Alford Place club on Monday, September 8.

According to The Press and Journal, an Instagram account promoting the event shared a now-deleted photo using the likeness of the viral sensation, real name Jack Kay, photoshopped onto a billboard to promote the event.

They reported that the photo was then replaced on Wednesday, September 3, with another promoting the same event, but without Kay’s image. It also promotes a competition for “best dressed Ibiza Final Boss”, with a £100 prize up for grabs.

In a document seen by the publication, the club received a legal threat from Jack Kay’s management team, accusing them of “conning the public” into thinking he would make an appearance at the club night.

They also asked promoters to remove the flyer from Instagram, threatening to charge a “license fee” on any money made by the club night next week.

The Press and Journal were told by promoters that the image was “used in good faith as part of a viral moment”, calling it a “costume party” themed around the Ibiza Final Boss.

Despite confusion, Jack Kay is set to make a real appearance at AURA nightclub in Aberdeen next week (September 13) as part of another freshers event.

Facebook post from the club reads: “We’re bringing the White Isle vibes straight to AURA, with the ONLY Aberdeen appearance of the Ibiza Final Boss.”
