Reality TV star and Texas rapper Erica Banks, best known for her viral hit “Buss It” and appearances on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport this week after TSA agents said they found a stolen gun in her purse.
Banks, whose legal name is Erica Scharmane Breaux, was booked on a Delta flight to Houston on Aug. 6 when TSA screeners at the T-Lower North checkpoint were alerted to a firearm in her black Louis Vuitton purse during X-ray screening, according to an Atlanta Police Department report.
Officers said the purse contained an unloaded Smith & Wesson M&P .380 pistol along with a magazine holding six rounds of ammunition. The gun was not holstered.
When officers ran the serial number, they said the weapon came back as reported stolen from Greenville, South Carolina, in 2018.
The report lists the “victim” in the case as the State of South Carolina, a government agency, with an address belonging to the Sumter Police Department which is just outside Columbia.
