Our client is a global leader in the electronics industry, with a vast array of applications including but not limited to automotive, data communication, consumer electronics, aerospace, and medical.
This American company has over 50 years of industry leadership experience and is seeking an energetic and dynamic Legal Counsel to join their Shanghai team. With local and global interactions, a large portfolio and the opportunity to develop in a specialty area, our client needs a mature, independent, law professional to join the in-house Asia legal team.
Your will responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Draft, review and propose modifications to commercial agreements and other contracts;
? Supervise and coordinate corporate projects (including M&A, restructuring, etc.);
? Provide compliance training to employees and investigate and take necessary actions to enforce compliance requirements;
? Research and draft policies and procedures as needed;
? Manage legal disputes including litigation, arbitration and mediation;
? Provide general legal advice to the business locally and overseas
In order to be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
? Law degree, overseas certification preferable and legally able to practise law in China
? At least 8 years general commercial legal experience
? MNC in-house legal experience a plus
? Mandarin and English fluency required, both written and spoken
? Excellent writing skills
? Ability to travel domestically when needed (travel is less than 10%)
