Slater and Gordon says it suspects a former employee with access to internal pay data was responsible for sending an incendiary email and unredacted salary information to more than 900 of the firm’s current and former staff.
In its first major update since the message upended the firm, Slater and Gordon said a forensic investigation had shown at least 10 identical emails were sent in a 16-minute period before 10am on February 21. The emails were batched to circumvent internal and external barriers that limit the number of emails that can be sent at once.
