He is a highly experienced gaming attorney with a reputation for having strong regulatory relationships and a practical approach, which provides innovative solutions for his clients.

McGuinness has been involved in various professional organizations throughout his legal career, including previously serving as Chair of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section of the Gaming Law Committee, serving as Co-Chair of the International Masters of Gaming Law in Dublin (2016), and serving as a member of the State Bar of Nevada’s Executive Committee (2004-2016). He has also been a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar, and the Denver Bar Association, amongst others.
McGuinness earned both a bachelor’s degree (Political Science) and a Master of Arts degree (Journalism) from Drake University, where he also obtained his Juris Doctor.
