Coachella Music Festival LLC alleged a neighboring brewery’s “Coachella Valley Brewing” marketing of amounted to “a brazen attempt” to associate itself with the annual event in a trademark lawsuit in California federal court.
C.V. Brewing Co.’s “Coachella Valley Brewing” beer labels and event posters incorporate not just the name of the valley for which they’re both named but trade dress such as the Ferris wheel associated with the music festival, the complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of California said.
