Dentons joins Alley of Legal Practice, planting trees for a greener Ukraine

Press Release

Kyiv, Ukraine—In March 2023, global law firm Dentons joined with the Alley of Legal Practice, on a project devoted to landscaping and creating green spaces in Kyiv. Alley of Legal Practice was first launched in 2020 by Kyiv-based newspaper, Yurydychna Praktyka, to celebrate the anniversary of its founding. This was the organization’s third alley planting involving Kyiv-based law firms and companies. By becoming a partner of this year’s alley, Dentons was entitled to sponsor the planting of one tree.

This year’s project involved the planting of 30 trees along Kyiv’s Taras Shevchenko Boulevard. The Populus Nigra Italica, or black poplar, was the species chosen to create the third alley. Native to Northern Italy, the black poplar is large tree, reaching up to 30 meters in height, and has proven to be a powerful filter for cleaning the city’s air.

“Dentons is committed to making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work,” commented Oleg Batyuk, Ukraine Managing Partner at Dentons. “We are very proud to support such projects as the Alley of Legal Practice, as our actions today become our children’s tomorrow.”
