Knowledge and Information Analyst – Law     

A prestigious and international law firm with a UK office in the City of London has a requirement for a Knowledge Analyst to join their London based Knowledge team. This is an opportunity to join a firm that is enjoying considerable growth and one that works across multiple jurisdictions

This role has a primary emphasis on legal research and to a lesser extent business research, but also includes responsibilities in the area of current awareness, training, engagement and other initiatives in support of the overall knowledge and information objectives of the firm.

The primary objectives of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting in-depth legal research on behalf of lawyers utilizing a plethora of online and printed resources
  • Producing reports on behalf of business development and providing a research desk function
  • The provision of current awareness utilizing tools and services such as NewsDesk, Manzama and Ozmosys
  • Building relationships across different practice areas and driving engagement with Knowledge Management services
  • Identifying training needs and delivering training for new joiners, the graduate intake and paralegals across the firm

Suitable candidates will need the following experience and skills:

  • Experience in a similar information or knowledge-based role with an emphasis on research
  • Research skills which include utilizing a broad set of electronic resources, the ability to produce a mix of quick turnaround and more in-depth research pieces covering both legal and business queries
  • Ideally, experience gained in a law firm or similar/related professional services setting
  • Extremely attentive to minor details
  • The ability to organize and plan work and to manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build relationships across departments
  • A Library or Information Management related bachelors or masters degree
