A family-run burger shop in Melbourne’s north east has been forced to remove their menu and logo after Kanye West’s lawyers threatened legal action.
Up until Wednesday, College Dropout Burgers in Ivanhoe was Kanye West themed, with a huge mural of the Grammy-winning superstar at the entrance, dishes named in his honour and logos from one of his albums stamped on their buns.
The name of the shop also paid homage to West’s debut album, College Dropout.
But the music star’s legal team have now said the owner used the material without permission and vowed to sue if it was not removed.
On Wednesday, the team ripped down their burger sign, removed the logos and covered the mural with white paint.
