“It is worth to be honest, though it doesn’t always pay off. It pays to be dishonest, but it is never worth it.” W?adys?aw Bartoszewski, a former Auschwitz concentration camp prisoner and Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In the darkest time of European history, we need to prove that we are united, standing on the right side of history. These are days of action, not only words and declarations.

Therefore, we need to cut Russia off SWIFT as well as implement other sanctions which will affect the widest possible range of Russians connected to the regime.

It’s been reported by renown media that four countries have rejected immediate elimination of Russia from SWIFT system: Germany, Italy, Hungary and Cyprus.

At the time when bombs are falling in Kiev, this seems to be a tragic mistake. Democracy differs from autocratic regimes because every voice matters. It is crucial that citizens will speak out their minds on these actions.

We are calling upon our colleagues from the law firms in every country, especially from Germany, Italy, Hungary and Cyprus to support Ukraine and speak out in their communities for imposing effective sanctions immediately!
