Job description
Our Client is one of the best known Global Law firms on the international platform. With nearly 100 offices around the world, they provide legal services to the world’s largest MNCs in various industries. This position will be based in Hong Kong
Main Responsibilities
Act as counsellor and arbitrator for both disputing parts being totally fair
Analyse and assess contract agreements, terms and conditions
Carefully analyse the situation and decide the rightful party to receive benefits and funds sitting in escrow
Interact with both parts and conduct negotiations
Establish the date of arbitration and notify disputing parties of pending arbitration
Try to reach mutually accepted solutions
Prepare and document all of the arbitration notes in a database
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations concerning arbitration aspects
Interview disputing parts together
Evaluate witnesses in order to obtain relevant information
Write and present opinions and decisions regarding the case
Prepare settlement agreements for disputants to sign
Ensure neutrality and impartiality through the entire process
Ensure case confidentiality
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience:
Experience in international law firms is a must
Experience in arbitration is preferred but experience in commercial litigation/regulatory & compliance would be considered
Strong client relationship skills
Good judgment, and ability to exercise independent decision making and act autonomously
Able to multi task
Strong communication skills in both spoken and written in Chinese, Cantonese and English
Candidates based in Hong Kong will be highly preferred
