Our client is a well-recognized for the delivery of cutting edge information through print and online publishing and global conferences & events focusing on the legal industry.

They are now hiring a Publisher/Head of Sales to manage their Asia Pacific Sales team.

Duties:

You will have full P&L responsibility for a portfolio of events and legal directories
You will be tasked with managing the team working in Asia for their global titles
You will oversee a portfolio of websites, print publications (both sponsor- and subscriber-led) and thinking of new ideas to grow the business
You will work to launch new products and be proactive in creating new retention strategies
The role will require extensive travel within the region and also to the UK and US on occasion
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in B2B publishing, preferably in the legal area or a related field
Knowledge of both the editorial and commercial side of publishing. This role will suit either a senior sales manager who understands the subject area or a senior editor with knowledge/interest in the commercial side of the business
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others
Management experience, preferably in Asia
Fluent spoken and written English are essential. Fluent Mandarin would be a plus; and
Knowledge of website design, CMS and HTML would be useful
