Information: The LexisLibrary Awards

Here’s their press release…

The LexisLibrary Awards (formerly The Halsbury’s Awards) have been actively recognising and celebrating the dedicated performance and outstanding service given by teams managing legal collections and resources since 2007. They replaced the BIALL Awards for Excellence which ran in 2005 and 2006.

There are 3 categories:
·         Best Legal Information Service outside of London (Commercial sector)
·         Best Legal Information Service London only (Commercial sector)
·         Best Legal Information Service (Non-commercial sector)

Last year’s winners at Harrogate were Mills & Reeve, Mishcon de Reya and Lincoln’s Inn Library. You can find out more about their success (and those from previous years) via the BIALL awards page: http://www.biall.org.uk/pages/halsburys-awards.html

There is no reason why you can’t nominate your own team – this is an ideal opportunity to utilise all that great feedback you might have been gathering internally. Imagine what an impact that nice shiny trophy might have within your own organisation – a perfect way to demonstrate your value.

Equally though, you might wish to circulate the survey within your organisation for colleagues to vote for you.

Whichever approach you opt for – get going! The Awards and Bursaries Committee will be welcoming nominations for 2015 via surveymonkey until 1st May:
