More LNB (UK) Halsburys Fun Print E-mail
Written by Sean Hocking
A UK librarian posted to... LIS-LAW yesterday saying that she'd received her news "sparkly " 5th ed of Halsburys Laws volume 1

Turning to the instructions page to find out which volumes of the 4th ed would be superseded she was faced  with "No volumes are wholly replaced by this volume", and she reveals that a search for more meaningful instructions have so far proved fruitless.

She also writes:

I have contacted LNB to find out which volumes have been part superseded by volume 1 (5th ed)

Another UK librarian also asks

How will you be handling the new edition? Will you be interfiling, or starting a new run of shelving? Has Lexis advised anyone how many volumes will be issued this year so we can plan for space? I see that the entire set will take "several years" but that sounds a little vague.

To HOB this appears like the standard LN approach. Produce a product, don't tell them too much about it, make them pay and then deal with issues afterwards
