CLIG Want You
Join CLIG or renew your membership now for just £18.

Since 1976 the City Legal Information Group (CLIG) has been supporting legal information professionals in and around London. We regularly organise topical and social events with the aim of helping information professionals network and share their thoughts and experiences.

Recent events have included:

* Social Media in the Workplace – a fascinating exploration of the legal issues involved in using social media as a recruitment tool; online misconduct – how far an employer can police what its employees say online; who owns social media content and contacts; and employers’ liability for what staff do or say online..

* Database Metrics – a talk by Rory Kingan, of Priory Solutions, in which he covered recent trends and how law firms are using Electronic Resource Management systems to get the most out of their online subscriptions.

* Getting to Grips with Project Finance – Nicholas Avery from Klank Consulting (previously of Stephenson Harwood) gave an engaging talk about the industries in which Project Finance has been used, how it’s morphed into the PFI/PPP and now PF2 in the UK, and most importantly where you need to go to get the information you’re after.

There’s also CLIG’s annual spring party, which bestows wine, nibbles and raffle prizes. And best of all, it’s free to all members!

Annual Membership is only £18. You can find the application form and relevant details here: http://www.clig.org/membership.html
