About Our Client
Our client is a US multinational in the retail and distribution industry. They are looking to hire a Legal Director in Shanghai to oversee all legal and compliance matters in the Greater China region.
Job Description
Focus will be on providing legal guidance for the China business by establishing processes and controls to ensure compliance with China laws and corporate standards of business ethics and policies; reviewing and amending commercial contracts and agreements; as well as managing external lawyers on anti-counterfeiting / intellectual property related work.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant should be a common law qualified lawyer (Hong Kong/ Singapore / UK / US) lawyer with at least 8 years of experience gained from a leading law firm or multinational company. Prior experience in the retail / trading sectors would be advantageous. You should speak excellent level of English and Chinese.
