Chambers and IFLR Asia Awards 2012:

The third annual Chambers Asia Pacific Awards were held yesterday in New Delhi at Hotel Shangrila.

Luthra & Luthra Law Offices won the National Law Firm of the Year Award 2012 while Linklaters was awarded the International Law Firm of the Year award in India practice. Linklaters has won this prestigious award for the second consecutive year.

Speaking to Bar & Bench on winning the award Managing Partner Rajiv Luthra said, “I am grateful to Chambers for this honour. I can certainly say with absolute conviction and all modesty, I have the best team in the world, each member of my team is clearly responsible for this award”.

Amongst the nominees were Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB & Partners, J. Sagar Associates, Khaitan & Co., Trilegal and Wadia Ghandy.

The nominees for International Law Firm of the Year in India practice included Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Herbert Smith, Latham & Watkins and White & Case.

Amarchand Mangaldas Managing Partner Shardul Shroff has been given a special award for his outstanding contribution to the field of law.

Last year, Amarchand Mangaldas won the National Law Firm of the Year Award.

IFLR Asia Awards 2012

Amarchand Mangaldas won the ?National Law Firm of the Year? award at the recently concluded International Financial Law Review?s (IFLR?s) Asia Awards 2012 in Hongkong. Last year, Luthra & Luthra had won this award.

The M&A Deal of the year was awarded to BP/Reliance, that involved 5 law firms including Allen & Overy, AZB & Partners, Linklaters, Talwar Thakore & Associates and Vinson & Elkins.

ILO Client Choice Awards 2012

Amarchand Mangaldas is the exclusive winner of ILO Client Choice Award 2012 for India for the second consecutive year. The awards ceremony was held in London.

According to ILO, this year only 56 firms were selected globally to receive awards from a pool of more than 2,000 individual assessments received.
