Following an announcement in February, leading Australian firms Thomsons Lawyers and Herbert Geer have combined their respective practices to create Thomson Geer – an 80 partner law firm with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
By size, Thomson Geer is one of the top 15 law firms operating in Australia and in the top 35 local law firms in the Asia Pacific. The firm will specialise in corporate, competition, finance, environment and real estate practices as well as telecommunications and wealth management.
Clients range from a variety of different industries principally deriving from the Australian Securities Exchange top 200 and major global foreign corporations from the agricultural, building materials, household products, life sciences, mining equipment and motor vehicles sectors controlled out of Britain, Western and Central Europe, Hong Kong, Japan and the United States.

Who’s Who Legal lists four lawyers from Thomson Geer who boast expertise in construction, franchise, sports and entertainment and employment and are spread across three offices.
