Turtons - a small but venerable Sydney commercial firm - has introduced a "pay us what you think we are worth" policy for its clients.

The firm's website boldly states "We are so confident in the value of our service that we have built a billing model around it. When you engage Turtons, you decide how much to pay, and not until after we have done your work."? Much like those chaps who wash your windscreen when you stop at traffic lights. Or a Radiohead album.

The innovative policy which was implemented on 1 July won't apply to out-of-pocket expenses - so out-of-hours meals remain safe - but it will apply to everything else.
