Indian Bar Council Representatives To Visit UK Print E-mail

The Bar Council of India is set to visit the UK at the end of May... Legal Week Magazine reports as longstanding talks about opening up the country’s legal market to foreign law firms continue.

Meanwhile the Indian Financial Express reports that UK Justice Minister Bridget Prentice is currently in India talking to Indian government representatives about the issue.

She said the Union law minister, HR Bhardwaj, was open to the idea of opening the doors for foreign law firms, and the UK was looking forward to a government decision shortly.

Prentice, who was in the city on Wednedsay, said British legal firms, having competence in international law, could help Indian Companies develop their business internationally.
