Not really related to law but my earthquake account:
I was just sitting here ready to write a post when our whole building started to sway in downtown Beijing (JIanwai SOHO 19th floor). I thought it was a case of vertigo until the pictures started to sway. Being from California I knew it was an earthquake and locked my door and proceeded down the stairs. Running down the stairwell there was a bit of panic from other people. Cell phones aren’t working because of a busy network. People are still lounging outside. Since I’m posting this, I’m obviously back in the office. Outside what I found most strange was that some construction workers remained on the cranes and continued working.
