CC Energy Partner Moves Back To Hong Kong Print E-mail
Written by Sean Hocking
Energy and infrastructure partner Geraint Hughes is relocating to Clifford Chance's Hong Kong office in early June.

A specialist in commercial, corporate and financing aspects of energy and infrastructure projects, Geraint is no stranger to Asia, having spent nearly a decade in the region before returning to London in 2002.

"We're delighted to welcome Geraint back to our team," said Huw Jenkins, who heads Clifford Chance's Projects practice in Asia. "He rejoins an extremely busy practice, and his skills will be in great demand.
"In addition, Geraint's track record of work for the world's leading energy companies, combined with his familiarity with Asia, will allow him to drive the development of our energy and infrastructure practice in the region."

During his time in London, Geraint has continued to work on Asia-based matters. He recently advised Globeleq on the sale of its Asian power portfolio and Salamander Energy on its takeover of GFI Resources.

"The energy and infrastructure sectors are growing at an unprecedented rate in Asia, with clients active in all areas and a rapid rate of change - from security of supply through to new sustainable sources of power," said Huw.

"Geraint's return to Hong Kong will complement the expertise of our existing energy and infrastructure specialist partners, Ting Ting Tan in Singapore and Bruce Schulberg in Beijing."
